Hindu woman raped in Haroa

Hindu baiting in the Indian state of West Bengal is becoming widespread these days and Minakha in 24 Paraganas (North) has turned out to be one the worst affected areas. Even if people are trying to interpret ongoing repressions as part of political animosity following West Bengal Assembly Election 2011, reality is appalling. As per classified sources, Muslims are making use of this uncanny development to eradicate Hindus from the environs.

On May 15, 2011, around 3 am, Khaleq Gaji, age 24 years, entered residence of Ashto Sardar and woke up his wife, Aloka Sardar, aged 40. Khaleq happens to be an infamous Muslim criminal and also TMC (Trinamool Congress) activist in the same Teghoria (village), Kulti, P.S. Haroa in Minakha area and was carrying Hasua (common weapon in rural Bengal used for agricultural jobs) in the fateful night.

Brandishing the weapon he threatened Aloka and raped her. Ravaged Aloka had no other way other than conforming to his demands. When the news became public, Aloka was admitted to the Basirhat Sub-division hospital and underwent a series of medical tests.

There is another important facet to this incident as well. During the last Panchayat election, three years back, houses of a few Hindus, namely Ashto Sardar, Tapan Sardar, Gopal Naskar, HariKamal Haldar, along with others were ransacked by Muslim workers of TMC.

The aforesaid ghastly incident has terrified the entire area of Teghoria village and Hindus are apprehending more dangers in the coming days. Even if police security has been beefed up, Hindus, owing to fear, are planning for exodus.
